A recipe from a member using Damson and Cobnut Mincemeat and Cider.
In an oven proof deepish dish put:
A layer of sliced apple
A layer of Old Slen mincemeat
A layer of brown breadcrumbs mixed with cinnamon, brown sugar
Dot with butter
Do it all again
Top with dots of butter
Splash on some Sleningford Cider
Bake covered with grease proof paper for a bit (45 mins at 175 degs)
Then a bit longer with the paper off so it is crunchy (15 mins)
Eat with custard, cream, icecream ...
Also will reheat and is more than ok cold.
